Was at Velocity today when the Salsa bikes were being demo’d.
Jenny and Brad (new owners of Velo City) are great friends of ours and have been for years. When the opportunity came to join in on the fun with their shop team, we jumped on it. Plan on seeing more of us over the course of the next year at local bike races and other […]
A lovely Sunday evening in Fennville at Salt of the Earth listening to the Crane Wives. Apparently you can enjoy some great music and great food at Salt of the Earth every Sunday night in the winter.
Maybe you have seen their bread around town? I grabbed a couple photos during a visit a month ago or so and hope to get a little more in-depth look later on. Lisa and I have always loved their Seedy Salty bread, but you really cant go wrong.
As this season winds down I (Rob) am starting to explore Fennville a little more. Stay tuned!
I love this selfie image taken at our first rest stop in early 2012 on our first trip with our Winnebago. This photo was taken prior to a messy half hour of emptying our waste tanks despite a leaky black water valve and a half functional waste tube. We are in surprisingly good spirits for […]
Lisa is busy installing a few pieces at Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY for a show titled The Ephemeral, the Fleeting.
We have arrived on the campus of Bellarmine University where Lisa is currently installing in a show that is part of a discussion on Ephemeral work. More on that show later. I have had the opportunity to explore a little bit while I looked for a quiet place to sent up a temporary office in […]
I am currently in a coffee shop in New Albany, IN – Quills to be more specific. They have a large picture window and the sun reflects off of the wood floor in an obtrusively bright way, but I don’t mind it. I am sitting back in the shop, inset a little, the view offers […]
Lisa and I love going to the Michigan’s Upper Peninsula when we get a chance. We don’t get summer break so on a whim we decided we needed a 3 day break before it gets too cold.
Lisa’s show just opened at the Broad Museum. It is her first museum show and the result of a lot of work. I am pretty proud of her. Check out the pieces at Lisa’s site here and here.
I love checking in with Amy and Kathryn at least once per year for a session. I’ve been taking photo’s for Kathryn since she was a newborn and it’s so fun to see her become a talkative, sweet, funny little girl! Can’t believe it’s been three years–happy birthday, Kathryn!
We beat the mosquitos at Janna’s families home and ended the night grabbing some photos with the horses (which is how they met). Looking forward to their August wedding in Grandville!
Megan & Blair’s mid May wedding on Lake Michigan was just beautiful and quite intimate. Everyone traveled to Holland just for the wedding bringing vacation spirit to an already celebratory occasion! The wedding took place on the lawn of a rented Lake Michigan beach house and the reception was at Macatawa Legends Golf & Country […]
Lisa and I celebrated 8 years this Tuesday. We were married in the Grand Rapids area on a hot, humid, & rainy day. We have hardly been apart since and will hopefully remain hardly ever apart for many more years to come.
Some great suspender work in the photobooth last weekend. To view all the composites visit their photobooth gallery.
Our Basic Coffee Table album includes a simple design, just one image per page allowing each photograph room to stand alone. It’s printed on a watercolor paper which has a matte finish with a slight texture (although there are other options). This particular one has a Custom Photo Cover, which is a great choice in […]
It’s not necessarily beautiful like flowers or ribbons, but I do have a thing for the wrinkles, rubble and reflections that surround daily life.
I’ve posted our test shots before as I think they are a funny record of where we’ve been and how our looks slowly change over the course of a year. Here are a few test shots from 2012. We’re not angry with each other in these shots (at least not that I remember), we’re just […]
Today was the Queens Day Criterium here in Holland Michigan. Here are a couple of photos we took as we were out and about watching the event. It was put on by the Tulip Time organizers and our wonderful friends at Velo City and Moms in Tow played a part as sponsors.
Sickness has arrived at our house and everything has had to slow down to welcome the uninvited house guest. We wear hoodies all day long and carry full tissue boxes in hand. Laundry and dishes are starting to pile up as we make more time to sleep and shuffle around in a cloud of congestion. […]
Every year we visit the lake on her birthday. Happy 30th Lisa!
We are down in Louisville for a show Lisa is installing at Land of Tomorrow. It is a huge space and we will be here all by ourselves for a few days until the other artists in the show arrive. Here is a link to the installed show.
Mitch and Marisa’s lovely October wedding was held at The Shrine of the Little Flower in Royal Oak, Michigan and the reception took place at The Palazzo Grande in Shelby Township, MI. The crisp fall day with colors changing and beautiful sunlight made our job as photographers easy! There was a little bit of time […]
With edge to edge printing, the Coffee Table Albums offer a new take on the classic album look while maintaining heirloom album quality.
The Galleria is our top of the line classically styled album. The Galleria offers a combination of both flush mounted (full page photos) as well as multiple photos pages. Galleria mats feature inset, hand-trimmed images with a surrounding accent lining.
Every person who worked with Lexi and Dave would with out fail comment on how great they and their friends are. We couldn’t agree more, they are infectiously pleasant:)
We set it up outside at Teusinks farm and they set up a horse farm posing scene to add to the fun. Unfortunately the rain made us relocate but that didn’t slow down the party. View the full gallery on Facebook.
All kinds of crazy fun at the photobooth this weekend. View the rest on our Facebook page
While playing with my nieces, we saw a rainbow and needed to get their photo with it.
Lis and I have busy summers but when our friends from Myanmar where in town we figured we should at least take one summer vacation. Here are a couple photos from our trip to Northern Michigan – I highly recommend traveling there!
Alisha and Stuart’s beautiful wedding took place at The Scarab Club in Detroit, Michigan. This beautiful, historic building was created around a love for art and discussion around the same time that the automotive industry was booming in the early 1900′s. The spaces are well thought out as well as interesting and inviting. Alisha and […]
Where did all of the old posts go? If you are looking for more content in the blog, I apologize! Our site got hacked a few months back and as much as we have tried we couldn’t completely clean it out so we needed to start from scratch. Bummer, I know. So all of our […]
